Senior Planner

The purpose of the Senior Planner is to manage various technical aspects of the forestry operation including enumeration and database management in cooperation with the Group Planning Manager. The Senior planner works at an operational level. Supervise enumerations and GIS teams to ensure that targets are met, and work quality comply with standards.

The employee serves as a first-line supervisor directing the work of trades people in the maintenance department and doing maintenance. The employee exercises considerable independent judgment to adapt and apply the guidelines to specific situations as needed. The employee runs and maintains the integrity of the Sawmill as a whole.

Work Experience, Work Integrated Learning or In-Service Training refers to the period required by certain qualifications for students to obtain formal work experience. This period is formally monitored by the institution and assessed on completion.
The qualification cannot be obtained without the completion of this prescribed programme. MTO places ‘Workplace Experience students’ or ‘interns’ on fixed term contracts to gain practical experience and complete their qualification. ‘Workplace Experience students’ who have successfully completed their work experience period and obtained their qualification can apply for an appropriate vacant role within the group.
